Nicholas J. Zito concentrates his practice in municipal law, criminal law, municipal prosecution and criminal defense.
Nicholas serves as one of the firm’s Village Prosecutors, representing the Villages of Brookfield, Burr Ridge, Elmwood Park, Glendale Heights, Hanover Park, Rosemont, Schiller Park and Streamwood. He also prosecutes at administrative hearings in the area of building code and ordinance violations.
While in law school, he held internships with the United States Attorney’s Office – Northern District of Illinois, the Illinois Attorney General’s Office, Goldman Sachs, and the Kane County State’s Attorney.
He began his legal career as a criminal prosecutor in Kane County; and prior to law school, he worked in local government economic development. He was previously elected as a Trustee in Wayne Township.
He received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and is a graduate of Chicago-Kent College of Law where he served as a team captain on the nationally ranked trial advocacy team.
